Mission Farewell

Mom and Dad's mission farewell was wonderful.  There were so many friends and family who came to show their support so the chapel was filled!  It was wonderful to have Julie and Jonathan fly in for the special occasion.

Right after Grandpa and Grandma got set apart by the stake president lots of kids wanted to give them hugs.  They both got beautiful blessings an promises for the service.

 Mom had all of the kids stand up to this board and put a piece of tape of how tall they were so when they get home we can measure again and see how much everyone grew.  Fun idea!

Funny story about the luncheon afterwards.  I had quickly made a jello the night before and had to move a lot around in the fridge in order to make a place to put it.  Sometime in the middle of the night a Cilantro Pesto container slipped into my jello and was set inside.  I was so disappointed the next morning and a little frustrated as to how I could possibly make it presentable to serve.  

 After posting my dilemma on Facebook, we got an idea.  I covered the top with some cute paper and it made the perfect holding spot for the whipped cream.  It turned out to be a hit! :)
