I need to tell my dad to try and have a little steadier hand with his IPad when taking pictures :)

Dear Family,
I thought I would just send you a brief note and let you know we made to Antofagasta, Chile.  It was a long flight, and a long two days getting here, but we are very pleased with our accommodations and the mission.  There is not many trees and it is desert, but the Mission President and his wife are very friendly, helpful and fun to be with.  We are excited to work with them.  President Dalton and his wife are really capable, love the missionaries and we are anxious to be of support to them.

We can't thank Laura and Amy enough to help his get here.  They know we could not have done it without them helping.  Their patience with us trying to get ready was incredible.  Thank you Michael & Laura and Landon and Amy.  Your help was incredible.  I feel like you are part of our mission.

We are pretty tired tonight, as we did not sleep well on the airplane, and it has been tiring going from one flight to another.  We plan to go to bed early and get ready for church tomorrow.

We did get our Ooma telephone set up, so by calling us on our home phone - 801-375-4390, we will answer in Antofagasta, Chile.  it will not be long distance to you that are in Utah.  Our cell phone numbers are now dead, because they would not work in Chile. The mission is going to give us some new cell phones in the next day or so.  We will let you know that number when each of you get one here.

I want everyone to know that Mom is very happy.  I have not seen her so happy for some time because she has left all of the pressure  of her books, boxes, and home demands behind.  I keep telling her we are now looking forward, not backward.

Thanks to everyone showing so much interest to our new adventure.  We are excited to open this chapter and serve the Lord full time.

Love Mom and Dad
